Stephen and Paulie had both planned to head to San Francisco and Apple HQ whilst Stephen was on a work trip. But a deadline with an ABC book (that Paulie is editing/compiling) of the TV series Paulie works on got in the way and the Paulie will use the ticket on another trip. Stephen caught Ornette Coelman in a concert before heading to Cupertino for a briefing on Oct 31st (his birthday), had a dinner with Uni IT Directors, went on a tour of Stanford Uni.
The last time Stephen had his birthday in the U.S., he looked a little fresher. Then he drove back to San Francisco where he met with pal Zolie who was over from NZ on a medical conference. they caught a Ravi Shankar concert, and then it was home again.
