What went on in the AthoMan household in January 2002 .....

On January 23, old pals and business partners at ESP Computing got together at Stephens'. Around the table (top left) is Michael Docherty, Hank Szeto, George Pang and Rick Ernst. The shot to the left sees Owen Traynor join us. Once a thriving team of university folk, the company slowed up when Rick joined Boeing, the good Dr Owen gave up being a computer science researcher and joined Foxboro, George finished medicine and started intensive care training, Michael became head of a new course, Stephen joined Apple and Hank started his PhD. But ESP is still active. Drop in on "www.espc.com.au" if you need some application development!
We had old pal Ted Chamberlain (aka Ho Chi Min) drop in on the night of the 31st with kids and Leigh. They crashed the night as Ted had a 6 am flight to Japan in the morning where he planned to hang out shooting arrows with Zen Buddhist monks (as one does). Ted is thinking of moving to the Sunshine Coast to join Athoman pal Jon Outridges' medical practice. Ted has been a country GP at Inglewood out west somewhere for some years.
Left- Charlie Sutton was in town and crashed with us on 30th. We went for a walk to Owens' new place with Rusty.
Right- School's back & Nick gets some guidance with his biology project from zoologist friend Peter Fugelli. Pete is just about ready to submit his thesis.
School started on 29th. Jims' first day at high school went okay & by the end of the week he settled in. Nine months left for Nick, 5 years for Jim!
