Paulie's 2018 birthday

Paulie's birthday was a gastronomic adventure. We hit the road to visit a funky restaurant in Gaillac and explore a few of the wines of Gaillac. The colours in the vineyards were lovely at this time of year. The Gaillac region has some of the oldest grape varieties ("Durac" care of the Romans) and some we hadn't heard of (feel free to read up here). The explorers returned home with full stomachs, a variety of wines, and smiles on their faces. Un joyeux anniversaire pour Paulie.

A new purse is exactly what Paulie was looking for The birthday package also included something for last week's birthday boy From Oxford James arranged for two lovely Provence rosés And his pal, James the Ocker Koala sent his wishes. Nick and Elena sent a warm audio message.
And sister Jan had a quick catch up too. Then Michael joined the guys in his swish Peugeot and they hit the road for a culinary adventure In Gaillac they lunched at the Restaurant Vigne en Foule .
And the food was as good as the reviews claimed As was this rosé. They have 200 odd wine to select from Stephen had mentioned when booking that it was Paulie's birthday. They surprised all with candles on the fromage. A literal cheese cake? .
