The decision is made.... Stephen and Paulie have a German academic couple renting their Brisbane pad from mid September and it's off to France and job hunting in England. So whilst Stephen does work around the house, Paulie clocks up numerous caring hours. Olivia hears that she has been offered a job in Brisbane at the Mater Hospital and fits in plenty of social activity whilst still based at Dalby. Nick continues his teaching load in Barcelona and greets Brisbane visitors and James has a message for President Trump.
2.. so it's clan catch up time & the St Lucia Athertons join us
3A week later Chris & Louise are off in India floating down the Ganges, so Paulie and Stephen catch up with the Donovans for our St Lucia outing dav
4Although a few walks around the river at the Uni is good fun and in this case training for a move to France
56th- Olivia is offered a role at the Mater Hospital. No more 2-3 hour drives from next month.
613th July - Trump is in London so it's rally time. Keno and James are joined by half-Bro Daniel Radford-Smith who is in Oxford for a while
714th - Olivia and chums head to Stanthorpe for a wine tour
8Where one of the gals has a family holiday home (importantly with a fire given it was below zero)
9.
10Wine and puppy tour it seems
11And the 14th is of course fête nationale (Bastille Day) so this pair send a video of their rendition of the chorus from la Marseillaise to pal Michael. "To arms, citizens!"
12Meanwhile in Barcelona, Nick and Elena meet the holidaying Sackey clan. Stephen's pal Daniel had headed home to Ghana for family business.
1319th - Olivia heads from Dalby to the "Splendour in the Grass" festival
14The next day Paulie heads to Auckland. Her ex partner Pete called (care of his son) a few days prior to say goodbye and died. Paulie joined a few of her girlfriends who go back to those times - Sally, Margot A and Margo C - at the funeral.
15Sharing memories. Sally lived with Paulie in London, Auckland, and a few other cities. A quick catch up - only an overnight stay.
1621st - Vas and Kate (previous AirBnb guests) asked Stephen to lunch. Vas wanted to show his Weber skills and Stephen rewarded him for his efforts
17... all official of course
18Also on the 21st, Stephen's ex-Apple pal, Chris Feil, was winding up his week at the AthoTurnbull French estate and handed the house to his pals and next guests Judge Billy and Sue.
19The house looked fine
20And the village looked busy
21July 22 - Good friend Halina (who introduced Paulie and Stephen) hosted a 40th birthday gathering for son Seb Rubinsztein-Dunlop (between his emergency physician job in WA and his other job in Qld).
22Time to catch up with others in the Dunlop clan. Claudie...
23... Jess (her birthday was the day before)
24...Kirtsen and Genevieve
25...Sister Jan, Jim, Stef and Adrienne
26Time to continue preparing the house for German guests arriving in Sept- a sensor light...
