August Outings

The month saw the clan travel a lot - Nick spent August walking through Portugal and Spain with his Pal Stefan and Elena visited family back in Italy. James and Keno spent a birthday weekend off at the family pad in France. And... proposed to Keno! Olivia got into the month working at the Mater but took some time out in Tasmania. Paulie and Stephen had a quick trip to Sydney to renew their long term visa for France. A few videos are below that record some of the action.

.. and after the fact head to a Frech restaurant and regroup . And to catch up with old Apple Colleague Steve Doyle. The outcome came a week later... visas granted : Stephen Atherton, Pauline Turnbull, Steve Doyle Sister Jan has a showing on the 18th so the gals head up to the Sunshine Coast to lend a hand : Olivia Turnbull, Pauline Turnbull, Jan Dunlop

. Meanwhile, Nick wakes to another day of walking the Camino (again). This time through Portugal So he and pal Stefano spend most of the month legging it. There is no teaching to be done back in Barcelona during the August break. .

. Back in Oz it's contemplation time for Atherton senior ...and for Rosie as well September 25 - James gives himself a birthday treat. He and Keno hang in the Jardin des Plantes in Paris before training down to the AthoTurnbull French retreat fo the week.
It's warm in St Antonin The next day at Market... busy too. Meanwhile in Spain. Santiago de Compostela may be the end goal for many. But not the dynamic duo... It's off to the coast and Fisterra

Back at the AthoTurnbull French property the lads have a walk - it's hot and very dry! But that doesn't stop the lads! INDEED... JAMES PROPOSED to Keno! And celebrated with our tree's fruit .. and a swim
.. and some local celebration drinks Yet to be told about the engagement, Stephen insists on a look at the garden given it's so dry This is where Nick and Elena had their first date back on their Camino walk from France. .
WIth food like this we can see why he returned. The church at Muxia Fellow pilgrims celebrate. Nick says farewell to Stefano who heads back to Italy.
. His Camino passport is pretty full Good suggestion & one Paulie & Stephen have been considering. Back home in Barcelona it's backpack withdrawal.
Stephen & Rosie have a break from packing. 30th - Olivia flew to Launceston in Tasmania the day before for a weekend music gig. She explores Zig Zag reserve Pals Maddie and Louise flew down too and explored Freycinet National Park. : Olivia Turnbull .
The exploring continues on the 31st : Olivia Turnbull . . Not a bad way to end the month! And then the "One Night Stand" gig kicked off. A year's visitors in one dayfor sleepy St Helens...
