At the flicks- "The Hundred Foot Journey"

Site updated on 09 Aug 2014

On Aug 8th we collected some of those folks who had spent time at our French pad, La Cachette, and watch the Helen Mirren film shot there. Alas, Chris & Louise Atherton who have visited when the film was being shot were away that evening. Lochie's parents Kerry and Leigh Boustead also joined us. Given the film's plot it was appropriate to dine with both Indian and French delights.

It was a light but fun film. Well reviewed by folks including the Sydney Morning Herald who wrote, "Helen Mirren, a French vilage and food porn; what's not to like". But closer to our hearts is a comment from the Guardian's review when referring to our village - "the absurdly picturesque town of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val". Exactement!
