Team Atherton heads south from Scotland

Site updated on 07 Jul 2014
On July 3rd, after some days in Scotland, the lads dropped Olivia, Lochie and Paulie to Glagow Airport where they returned to France. Team Atherton then headed south through Cumbria and Wales to James HQ in Oxford. Some new places were discovered and some discovered revisited. The lads hadn't been to Stephen's Uncles's war grave, but Stephen and the girls had in 2007. James hadn't been to Conwy Castle, but Stephen & Nick had in 1996! Stephen then returned to France on Sunday 6th & Nick left the day after to return to Australia after some months away.

But we had some serious clan business there. Visiting Stephen's Uncle Henry's WWII grave

A super quick visit. Now we know why Stephen's maternal Grandfather & paternal Great-Grandfather left

Bedding down outside of Chester en route to North Wales

Into Conwy

A super walled city and castle visited by Nick & Stephen in 1996

Through Snowdonia National Park

Filling Tankerbel up with Dragon's Breath to exit Wales

Across the border in England, Stokesay Castle (Manor House) - Builst 1291

And through the Cotswolds

Sat night was spent in Jame's room, but then Stephen had to head back to France
