Bringing in the New Year

Site updated on 15 Jan 2014

It was a quiet start to 2014. Olivia and Lochie headed off to party, Nick and Beck went down to Coffs Harbour to her Dad's resort, James continued to slowly finish off the bubbles sent to him back in August, and Stephen and Paulie went to Clan Traynors where his Scots Hogmanay (we haven't been to Hogmanay in Scotland for years) had to include haggis.

Although quiet, it is also somewhat significant. Paulie and Stephen realised that it was exactly 10 years since Paulie first met Stephens friends at New Year 2003/4 having only met themselves in New Zealand in August 2003.

Stephen and Paulie head to their French pad on the 16th, so spent spare time (Stephen was back at work) packing a huge amount to take to furbish the pad, considering renovations de la maison, and catching up with folk. That included a chat with a butcher bird and pal whilst at Kaida's.
