Regional Rural Roadtrip Report

Site updated on 12 Oct 2012

Stephen and colleague John Webb felt it was time to visit some regional NSW universities. And this time to do so on the road for convenience and to save the company some dosh. Paulie was able to join us and indeed found a lovely hotel to stay in. So on October 8th, the brave trio drove into the sunset via Lismore (Southern Cross Uni), Armidle (Uni of New England) and Bathurst (Charles Sturt Uni).

John and Stephen met up with a couple of Pro Vice Chancellors, delivered a seminar at each venue, did some meet and greets, and enjoyed the scenery. Paulie had time to work on her projects. A near miss of a large kangaroo in our braking efficient trusty white hire car (Daffney) sent Paulie ("Gunner Turnbull") into an uncomfortable position. The less specific change of pace and absence of airports was appreciated. The 4 day trip ended when we left Daffney at Sydney Airport and flew home.
