The month included the second one-way Adelaide roadtrip for the year (including time for Paulie to attend some great Writers Festival sessions), Olivia activities, a Melbourne work retreat for Stephen, Jonathan Atherton's wake (see other March entry), Michael Docherty's return to France, and James and Keno's trip to Lisbon as well as the COVID outcome of the trip. Nick was caught up in flooding and drama in Northern New South Wales.

The wet extends into the start of March On March 8 Paulie headed to Adelaide.  The next morning she went to the writers festival and bumped into pals Rosie & Greg Egan She has a ball The real mission is to re-register Olivia's car that was written off by insurance after the recent hail storm. But what a waste! Paulie & Stephen decided to buy it & drive home - what's a few bumps?
Paulie stays at Olivia's pad. The Turnbull gals and Diana have a lovely few nights : Diana March 10 - Stephen flew in the afternoon, had a client meeting, then partook of the wine & food part of the festival. Hosted by Olivia and boyfriend James March 11- time to set out on the 22 hour, 2,051 km drive home
First stop, Waikerie in the Riverland region of South Australia March11WaikerieRiv . Through Renmark (SA) where they stayed when they delivered Olivia's replacement car two months earlier

March 12 - Paulie and Stephen stayed overnight at Narrabri and then took off again. Emus aplenty somewhere in Central New South Wales Off again and the road stretches ahead near Goolgowi on the Mid Western Highway Pit stop at ‎Lake Cargelligo, Central NSW Through bustling Fifield
March 13 - the Adelaide crew head to a gig where James was performing before heading to the Coonawarra vineyards 13th (back in Portugal) the lads visit ‎the Castle of São Jorge. On returning to Oxford whilst Keno attended the neuropych conference, James discovered he had COVID! Keno flew home early to take care of him. Then found they both had it! (They suffered a few days of fever and lethargy) Paulie & Stephen made Goondiwindi on the Queensland/New South Wales border for breakfast and arrived home 4 hours later March 13- Home safe and sound
Greeted by Rosie March 15 - locals dropped in to welcome them home. Sharing a quiet evening with house guest Michael March 21 - Stephen flew into Melbourne the night before and made his way to Warburton for a work retreat

The crew unwind - Melbourne had one one the longest COVID lockdowns in the world... (Video) ... so it's no surprise the team shared a wine or 3 and unwound! All bright and bubbly the next day for planning & then lunch with coffee tasting .
March 24- Stephen stayed on in Melbourne after the 2 day retreat, so checked in on home. Although flying home teh next day, so was Michael (to France). So Stephen says goodbye remotely March 26 - Olivia and new house mate Mel enjoy an outing at the Anderson Hill vineyard in Lenswood (Adelaide Hills) March 28 - routine returns to normal. Rosie runs the show March 29- our regular Mt Cootha walk is wetter than usual
