Olivia and Paulie had zipped off to Sweden and Denmark after Keno & James' wedding. Stephen flew solofor part of the month except for a Melbourne visitor, local buddies, and a young Swift called Sally. You can see her rising to the occassion here. Paulie returned mid-month and the adventures continued....

2nd August - Stephen's back in France and catches Paulie pal Louise for a night at Noble Bacchus before she heads off. Saying hi to Paulie in Sweden. Work to be done. Unqualified work, but such is life Being based at Yolande's (La Cachette is rented out) makes work there easy. Light in the wine cellar installed. As is farm boy work
7th August - Melbourne pal Chris Feil drops in to the village for a few nights. He drove down from Germany. Just in time for the Fête du battage (a bit of farming history) . .
His third visit over the years, but first time to Albi . . Back in St A it's time for a hill walk
. He stayed with Storm and Daniel (as La Cachette had guests). Storm was just finishing off a commission for the Noble Bacchus bar. Daniel and Stephen head up to the hills Back at Yolande's the wine cellar evolves
Stephen finds a young swift in the courtyard so takes it in to give it a second chance 12 August - Paulie returns from the Nordic adventures she shared with Olivia Yolande hosts a welcome home drink in her nearly completed cellar Sally Swift's first nest
. 15th August - a catch up with Micheal The a peek at a race up the Caussade Road from the village And Michael and Daniel have a quick feed
20th - time to start walks around the village , and for Stephen to continue farm hand help A catch up with Daniel and Storm
Set up and ready... Dessert inside Sally's second temporary nest. She's growing.... A picnic at Larroque after helping Rosie & Robin.
The village getting quieter... but still holiday time After various fetes, it's time for a performance weekend just outside our window . Setting up Dance
. Music (techno until 1am one night) Stephen being taunted by one of the misbehaving cats A catch up with a more civilised Brisbane cat (and owner)
27th - UK (and NZ) based pals Jude and Phil visit their pal at her family Chateau at Rocamadour. Paulie & Stephen are invited to stay. . . .
. Dinner time in Yannick's apartment . For some reason a pile of flies. But Stephen's training in the marial art of Zen Fly Kai sorts them (avec a Mexican fly swatter)
A quick break before an hour long walk to Rocamadour Past the Poet's tree A mystic circle .
And onwards Past a Chevre farm To Rocamadour .
nd back to the Chateau's "Zen Garden" to chill . Yannick's dad has a small fleet of 1940s and 50s Peugeots Back home after a night away
Just in time for the fig to start giving Happily accepted!
