The Wedding Party. Aug 1st, 2009

Site updated on 05 Aug 2009

Stephen and Paulie wanted to have a party to celebrate their recent marriage with friends and family. Indeed, they had started arranging it well before the Scottish elopement. An invitation was sent out from Scotland.

Starting at 5 pm, guests were welcomed by two fine musicians that Stephen first saw on a Griffith University podcast - guitar and violin. Caterers handled the food, and outside gear was set up. A short movie of the wedding ceremony was shown and ended with Tom the piper saying to the guests that he had sent some friends. On cue, up marched the Emmanuel College (University of Queensland) pipe band to everyones' surprise. A great night that we hope our guests enjoyed as much as we did!
